• "Didn't catch that" marker & AI Help: while subtitles are hidden — including blind listening and LS100 — tap a single button to mark a sentence you didn't catch (blind listening also switches to a blurred-text effect); the marker stays on the sentence in the subtitle list, and tapping it opens AI Help; AI Help now explains a sentence directly by meaning groups, and the vocabulary highlight focuses on AI-flagged keywords so long sentences no longer turn into a wall of word chips; localized for non-zh interfaces
• Subtitle editing, cloud sync & PDF export: subtitle editing now supports adding new words and sentences with audio preview for timing; member cloud sync now backs up and restores original media and EPUB files, and non-members opening an unsynced local-upload transcript see a membership prompt for cross-device sync; a new transcript PDF export with toggles for marked words, key expressions, phonetics, and Japanese furigana / romaji

Improvements

• LS100 & review: shadowing and preview time now count toward total learning time, and the stats page shows per-step duration; the review rating "Again" is renamed for clarity; adding a word now refreshes the review queue and Start Review button immediately; dictation blanks are now AI-picked instead of rule-based
• Settings, usage & announcements: the settings usage section is slimmed down with the "Details" entry floated at the top-right of the points card; the usage details page drops the "Cost" column to avoid being read as a charged amount; a new in-app announcement dialog with audience targeting
• Content sources & word cards: source pages now show the last sync time; episode titles show up to three lines with long-press for the full title and description; Baidu Netdisk content sources can manually sync new files from the source page; long-press a source on a word card to hide it, and mobile word-source cards now scroll horizontally
• Player details & light mode: the player top bar now shows local media upload status; control-bar spacing tightens on narrow phones so prev / play / next no longer crowd; the first-time single-sentence-loop hint is now a bubble pinned above the loop button; English playback no longer shows phonetics by default; light-mode contrast fixes for washed-out backgrounds, faint chips, and invisible dividers

Bug Fixes

• Fullscreen player & EPUB: fixed the fullscreen speed dialog overflowing on short landscape screens, the loop button toggling instead of opening the picker, and segment / speed / subtitle sheets picking up the wrong colors from the fullscreen overlay; in the EPUB reader, fixed broken horizontal page-turns, Japanese paragraphs with ruby (furigana) clipping into the line above, and translations not aligning with source text
• LS100 & usage: fixed LS100 watch-with-subtitle and watch-without-subtitle steps not auto-completing; fixed empty Usage records and Usage details for users whose periodic grants were frozen; review exercises now respect the learner's native and learning language combination
• Import & small-screen polish: fixed images being selectable in "Select from album" on Android; fixed media playback fallback when local files are unavailable; Baidu Netdisk synced covers now persist to OSS instead of expiring temporary links; fixed the flash-sale countdown banner overflowing on small screens, purchase package tip chips overlapping when wrapping, dialog buttons being clipped by the keyboard, and a loading flicker when switching to the Discover tab

New

• Appearance settings: Added System / Light / Dark options, with dark-mode support across player, shadowing, LS100, home, search, purchase, and other major screens
• Enhanced ebook reading: Local EPUB reading now supports page-turn mode, wide-screen two-column layout, ruby annotations, reading progress, and per-chapter TTS with sentence highlighting
• Word book upgrades: Word cards now show in-context meanings, form analysis, common collocations, and multiple sources; book-saved words can jump back to the original paragraph
• Podcast playback and transcription: Podcast episodes and search previews can use a proxy for overseas audio, improving playback and transcription reliability

Improvements

• Ebook layout and translation: Local EPUB rendering better preserves images, tables, and chapter layout; chapter translations stream in progressively and avoid repeated translation cost
• Reading and practice flow: Adding words from ebooks no longer shifts reading position; shadowing resumes after the last recorded sentence and shows clearer feedback for evaluation or quota issues
• Collection sync: Collection sort preferences are remembered per user and sync across devices, with fewer reversions after rapid toggles

Bug Fixes

• LS100 and subtitle masks: Fixed recreated LS100 segments staying on stale state, and subtitle masks are editable immediately after being enabled
• Word book display: Fixed book-sourced word entries opening the wrong player, missing original text, and unclear highlights; tablet landscape now uses a two-column layout
• Import and cross-device playback: Fixed local files not resuming upload, unavailable videos turning into error pages, and some Android Baidu Netdisk auth flows not returning to the app
• System and account polish: Fixed unclear non-EPUB import messaging, Windows installer path selection, iOS 26 sheet clipping, and occasional model reasoning leakage in dictionary definitions

New

• E-books: import EPUB files and read them in-app — tap any word to look it up and add it to your word book
• Cross-device sync: learning habits (loop mode, subtitle / translation visibility…) and practice progress (single-sentence loop, remaining loop count) now sync automatically — start a sentence on your phone, finish it on your iPad
• Cantonese transcripts: simplified characters are now automatically converted to Hong Kong traditional, with jyutping filled in
• Re-segment practice: a new "Re-segment" entry inside the segment list sheet, with a clearer warning that explains what is kept (recordings, scores, evaluation history) vs deleted (per-segment practice progress, extracted vocabulary)

Improvements

• Book reader refined: controls (TOC / Translate / Aa) moved from the top bar to a bottom bar, both bars slide in together on tap; Continue Learning now opens books directly in the reader and shows reading progress
• Segment mode now resumes at the first incomplete segment when you enter
• Desktop honors system text size: Windows / macOS / Linux now scale up to 2.0x, so increasing your system "Text size" actually enlarges in-app fonts
• Resume playback toast: the last-position banner now has a close button and a "Play from start" action to jump back to the beginning
• Practice preview cards: now show US/UK phonetics, with an extra romanization line for Japanese, Korean and Thai entries and a TTS button on every card; the "无" placeholder no longer leaks into the UI

Bug Fixes

• Player stability & tablet polish: fixed occasional crashes when opening the player, YouTube full-loop not restarting after playback ends, tablets being forced into portrait after exiting fullscreen, wide Android tablets wasting vertical space, the loop-mode button icon not reflecting the active mode, the player page becoming unresponsive on Xiaomi-like devices after pausing with the screen off, and tapping highlighted expressions or word-book words failing to open their detail sheet in word-selection mode
• Shadowing practice: fixed playback replaying the previous sentence's recording after switching sentences and coming back; the listen count not incrementing per loop in single-sentence-loop mode; one play being counted as multiple in standard shadowing mode; YouTube auto-replaying a segment once at the end; pronunciation-score feedback leaking Chinese strings into non-zh UIs; and "suggest linking" hints repeating inside a single linked group
• Book import & deletion: fixed the blank reader screen right after importing (now shows parse progress); book deletion is much faster and automatically cleans up the original book file
• Pronunciation points limit: tapping pronunciation after running out of points no longer shows "Internal server error" — the upgrade dialog appears instead
• Tablet auth & desktop dialogs: tablet / iPad portrait third-party login buttons now fill the row; desktop dictionary / segment dialogs use a wider max-width, and long titles no longer overflow
